Mystery Letters Campaign
Put a Mysterious Mental Illness Message on Your Car…
…your fridge, your laptop, your locker.
1 in 4 Americans lives with a mental illness, and about 5% of Americans live with a seriously debilitating mental illness. If you are fortunate not be living with any sort of mental illness, then someone you know likely is, though they might choose to keep it secret.
Not so many years ago, advocates for autism research came up with the simple but clever idea to pair the word “cure” with “autism” and helped the world understand that it was a brain disorder. Inspired by their great idea, our “Cure” car magnets are a way to show your support for those living with mental illness, and your support for the search for cures. If a fleet of cars in every community had these magnets with mysterious letters, the disorders they represent would become less mysterious!
50-50-50 Campaign!
Over the summer, we got a Mystery Letters car magnet onto a car in each of the 50 states (as well as DC and Puerto Rico) in 50 days – 50 magnets, 50 states, 50 days!
Many people posted photos of the magnets on their cars to the Cure Alliance Facebook page.
Buy magnets for yourself, your family, and friends at the Cure Alliance online store.
